Description of content: This addendum concerns the notification of draft of Egyptian Standard ES 6000-3 "household refrigerating appliances – characteristics and test methods – Part 3: Energy consumption and volume" (108 pages, in Arabic), which will supersede the current Egyptian Standard ES 6000-3 which was mandated among others by the Ministerial Decree No. 241/2016 (3 pages, in Arabic) which was formerly notified in G/TBT/N/EGY/157 dated 15 August 2016.

Worth mentioning is that this draft standard complies with IEC 62552-3/2015.

Producers and importers are kept informed of any amendments in the Egyptian standards through the publication of administrative orders in the official gazette.

Description of content: Hong Kong, China will introduce a voluntary water efficiency labelling scheme on water closets. Manufacturers, importers or other related parties in the water closet business can apply for registration of their water closets under the scheme. Water closets complying with the performance requirements will be registered under the scheme and will be rated to different water efficiency grades according to their water consumption level. Registered water closets will be allowed to affix water efficiency labels of specified format to them showing their water efficiency grades and water consumption level.

Description of content: Under this Department Administrative Order, all manufacturers, and importers of Household and Similar Electrical Appliances shall comply with the requirements of the Philippine National Standards. Appliances not intended for normal household use but which nevertheless may be a source of danger to the public (i.e. for use in commercial establishments) are within the scope of this Order. This Order does not cover appliances that are exclusively for industrial purposes.The draft requires all manufacturers, assemblers, and importers of products stated under clause 5.1 of this Order to secure a Philippine Standard (PS) Certification Mark License or an Import Commodity Clearance (ICC), respectively, prior to its distribution and sale.

Under this Department Administrative Order, all manufacturers, distributors, importers, and retailers of Self-ballasted LED Lamps shall comply with the requirements of the Philippine National Standards.

The scope of implementation shall cover Self-ballasted LED-Lamps for General Lighting Services by Voltage > 50 V - Safety Requirements covered by PNS IEC 62560:2012, intended for domestic and similar general lighting purposes, having:

- a rated wattage up to 30 W

- a rated voltage > 50 V up to 250 V

- E14 and E27 caps

SUMMARY: The FAA is correcting a final rule published on 13 December 2016. In that rule, the FAA amended its regulations to allow operators to use an enhanced flight vision system (EFVS) in lieu of natural vision to continue descending from 100 feet above the touchdown zone elevation (TDZE) to the runway and to land on certain straight-in instrument approach procedures (IAPs) under instrument flight rules (IFR). As part of the final rule, the FAA revised appendix F to part 121 to provide greater clarity on the checking requirements for EFVS. In amending appendix F to part 121, the FAA used amendatory instructions that inadvertently misplaced new paragraph III(c)(5). This document amends appendix F to part 121 to correct that error.

Description of content:

Establishes the standards relating to motor fuel. This rule adopts the 2017 version of the NIST Handbook 130 which establishes the uniform engine fuels and automotive lubricant regulations. This rule eliminates unnecessary permitting requirements that have previously been required. It specifies specific areas where the state is not going to adopt the national standard and instead have state specific standards. This rule proposes a standard color code be adopted by gasoline stations. It clarifies that the state will adopt the ASTM specification D4814-17 for automotive spark-ignition engine fuel.
