根据新加坡的强制性用水效率标签计划（MWELS），自2009年起，对常用的水设备和器具规定了最低用水效率要求，以帮助消费者做出明智的购买决定，并鼓励供应商向市场推出更节水的产品。
根据MWELS，从2022年1月1日起，三种常用商业设备的最低用水效率要求如下：
a） ≤8.0升/千克水，用于前装和顶装洗衣机（家用洗衣机除外）；
b） ≤2.4公升的水，每个架子用于台下和软篷洗碗机（家用洗碗机除外）；以及
c） ≤11.0升/分钟的高压清洗机用水（以下情况除外：（i）家用；（ii）蒸汽清洗或热水压力清洗；（iii）清洗设备或车辆；（iv）专业清洗和工作；（v）喷砂）。
对于这三种类型的商用电器，只有满足最低用水效率要求的型号才允许在新加坡提供、展示或广告销售或供应。因此，这些模型需要在MWELS下注册，然后才能在新加坡提供、展示或广告销售或供应。不过，这三类商用电器将不会有任何标签要求或打勾评级。为了在MWELS下注册，这些模型必须根据《公共设施（供水）条例》中规定的标准进行测试，该条例将进行修订，以强制执行水效率要求，并规定这三种商业设备的测试标准和/或方法。修正案将于2022年1月1日起生效。

Under Singapore's Mandatory Water Efficiency Labelling Scheme (MWELS), minimum water efficiency requirements have been mandated for commonly used water fittings and appliances since 2009, with a view to helping consumers make informed purchasing decisions, and encouraging suppliers to introduce more water-efficient products into the market.
In line with the MWELS, the following minimum water efficiency requirements will be mandated for three types of commonly used commercial appliances from 1 Jan 2022 onwards:
a) ≤ 8.0 litres of water per kilogram for front and top load washer extractors (other than those for household use);
b) ≤ 2.4 litres of water per rack for undercounter and hood dishwashers (other than those for household use); and
c) ≤ 11.0 litres of water per minute for high pressure washers (other than those for: (i) household use; (ii) steam cleaning or hot water pressure washing; (iii) washing equipment or vehicles; (iv) specialised cleaning and work; (v) sandblasting).
For these three types of commercial appliances, only models which meet the minimum water efficiency requirements will allowed to be offered, displayed or advertised for sale or supply in Singapore. Accordingly, the models will need to be registered under the MWELS before they can be offered, displayed or advertised for sale or supply in Singapore. However, no labelling requirements or tick-ratings will be imposed on these three types of commercial appliances. In order to register under the MWELS, these models must be tested according to the standards stipulated in the Public Utilities (Water Supply) Regulations, which will be amended to mandate water efficiency requirements and stipulate test standards and/or methods for these three types of commercial appliances. The amendment will take effect from 1 January 2022.
