CCCME led Economic and Trade Promotion Delegation to Italy and organized various business events

In an effort to promote China-Italy economic and trade relations and facilitate bilateral business cooperation, in parallel with the 7th joint meeting of the China-Italy Governmental Committee, upon the joint invitation by Italian Trade Commission (ICE) and CONFINDUSTRIA, CCCME(Chinese Secretariat of Business Forum of Italy and China) organized a business delegation to visit Italy from May 4 to 7, 2016 and held several economic and trade events in Rome and Milan. The events include the following:

 

BFIC B2B Match-making Meeting in Rome

 

On May 5, 2016 local time, CCCME and ICE co-organized BFIC B2B Match-making Meeting. President ZHANG Yujing of CCCME addressed before the match-making. Throughout the meeting, Chinese and Italian companies matched based on a one to ten proportion and nearly 120 rounds of talks were successfully held. Chinese companies developed over 30 potential Italian customers and 16 pairs of them reached preliminary cooperation intentions.

 

The 3rd Steering Committee Meeting of BFIC Held in Rome

 

On the afternoon of May 5, 2016, the Third Steering Committee Meeting of BFIC and China, co-organized by Chinese and Italian Secretariats,was convened in Rome. The meeting was attended by BFIC Chairmen of both sides, i.e. Chairman of Bank of China,Mr. Tian Guoli and CEO of Pirelli, Mr. Marco Tronchetti Provera. The Secretary-General sand board members from both sides also delivered addresses. ZHANG Yujing, President of CCCME reviewed the previous work of Chinese Secretariat and mapped out the future work plan. Chinese Foreign Minister WANG Yi and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Paolo Gentiloni of Italy jointly attended the meeting.

 

China-Italy Economic and Trade Cooperation Forum Held in Rome

 

After the Third Steering Committee Meeting of BFIC, China-Italy Economic and Trade Cooperation Forum was held and attended by over 200 representatives from governments, companies and financial institutions of both countries. The forum was moderated by Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation;and Ministers of both countries gave impromptu speeches.

 

Visits to Italy’s dominant projects in the fields of energy, water treatment, textile and furniture in Milan

 

On May 6, 2016, accompanied by personnel from ICE and CONFINDUSTRIA, Chinese Delegation left for Milan to visit ABB Italy for its electrical equipment production line and 3V Green Eagle for its Smart Laboratory, production line of sewage and sludge treatment equipment. Divided into different groups in accordance with their respective business interests, the delegation communicated effectively with the visited companies and reached a number of cooperation intentions.
