On the afternoon of May 24 2016, CCCME President Zhang and Vice President Liu Chun met with Chairman of Albright Stonebridge Group and the former US Commerce Secretary Mr. Carlos Gutierrez and his colleagues.

President Zhang extended his welcome to Mr. Gutierrez and his colleagues. He believed that China and US enjoy a benign trend of economic and trade relations in general and are highly complementary economically. Many American states have been actively attracting China's investment and many successful stories in machinery and electronic sectors can be shared. In the meantime, some Chinese companies have been treated unfairly or encountered many restrictions. CCCME hope the US side would endeavor to make improvements on those fronts. Mr. Gutierrez said despite the restrictions, the US government sets store by the China-US economic and trade relations and will be committed to attracting China's investment as always.

CCCME Vice President Liu Chun pointed out that Chinese companies have great interest in the US market yet lack of timely and comprehensive project information. Also they have been faced with many regulations and restrictions. Mr. Gutierrez introduced that many American states need to upgrade their infrastructure facilities and ASG would be ready to offer project bidding information to CCCME.

The two sides agreed to co-host seminar on investing in USA and provide specific assistance to Chinese companies.
