Nigeria Lekki Free Trade Zone

Nigeria Lekki Free Trade Zone is located on the Lekki Peninsula to the southeast of Nigeria's capital Lagos. It was set up in May 2006 by CRCC and other 5 Chinese funding enterprises and local authorities. In November 2010, it was confirmed and assessed by Ministry of Commerce and Ministry of Finance. FTA focuses on the development of high-end manufacturing of equipment and communicating products, assembly industry of transportation and construction machinery, as well as modern logistics and urban services and real estate industry.

At present, the FTA has been on track, and the supporting services and investment environment are basically perfect. As of November 2016, 51 enterprises have signed investment agreements, come into operation and completed the actual investment of US $150 million. Another 62 enterprises have registered for the business license or signed the investment letter of intent, with the total investment of about $1.1 billion.
