New Year Greetings

With the arrival of the Chinese New Year, on behalf of CCCME, I would like to extend the New Year Greetings and heartfelt appreciation to all members and partners at home and abroad for your consistent support and friendly sentiments.

The year 2017 witnessed the successful holding of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, assessing that socialism with Chinese characteristics has crossed the threshold into a new era. The Congress also comprehensively elaborates Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, and puts forward the basic policies of “striding into a new era and embarking on a new journey to fulfill the new objectives”. It is my privilege to be elected as one of the delegates to the 19th National Congress of the CPC, which is also an honor for CCCME and FCTACC. I will work hard to press ahead, remaining true to my original aspiration and keeping my mission firmly in mind.

In the past year, the growth rate of Chinese foreign trade in machinery and electronic products has rebounded. China has further improved its economic structure and accelerated the industrial transformation and upgrading with better quality, higher efficiency and new driving factors. A large number of enterprises have been positively responding to the cooperation initiatives such as the Belt and Road Initiative and international production capacity, exerting the function of various market entities, actively exploring new models and new forms of trade, and accelerating the cultivation of strengths for international economic cooperation and competition. All these have achieved remarkable results. Centering on the overall commercial deployment and key tasks, CCCME took full advantage of its international cooperation and multilateral working mechanisms to expand its international liaison channels and cooperation resources. Throughout the year, CCCME actively promoted the international exchanges and cooperation of China’s machinery and electronic industry by fulfilling the tasks both delegated by the government and needed by the members, including facilitating the foreign trade investment, responding to major trade friction cases, promoting industry communication and coordination, organizing exhibitions and trade shows, refining the information and training services, and formulating technology standards. All these contributed to a more efficient and precise service system, a steady business development and performance management reform, an increasingly democratic mechanism, rich characteristic cultural and Party-mass activities, thus forging the all-round construction to a new level. 

The year 2018 marks the 40th anniversary of China’s reform and opening up, and in this year CCCME will also embrace its 30th birthday. Looking back, CCCME has strived as well as prospered with its members, made unremitting efforts in every single day and lived up to its commitments. Looking into the future, CCCME will continue to forge ahead with all the member companies, stride into a new era and embark on a new journey with all global partners under the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, in a bid to contribute more to the transformation and upgrading of foreign trade with better quality and higher efficiency, and moreover, to secure a decisive victory in building a moderately prosperous society in all respects, strive for the great success of socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era, and realize the Chinese Dream of national rejuvenation.
