On the morning of March 1, CCCME Vice President Shi Yonghong met with Mr. Joel B. Blank, Consumption Safety Counsellor of CPSC.

President Shi Yonghong welcomed Mr. Blank's visit. He thanked the Consumer Product Safety Commission of the United States for its support to the work of CCCME. He also introduced the main business of CCCME, its member enterprises and the trade situation of China's electromechanical industry. He said that both CCCME and its member enterprises attach great importance to consumer safety. He hoped that with the support of the Consumer Product Safety Committee represented by Mr. Blank, the latest policy information on consumer safety in the United States market would be kept up-to-date.

Counsellor Blank said that CPSC and CCCME have a good cooperative relationship. At the China International Consumer Electronics Exposition (SINOCES) held in Qingdao in 2018, the two sides jointly organized a training conference on the safety of goods exported to the United States. CPSC is willing to deepen long-term cooperation with CCCME, and timely transfer the relevant issues and regulations on the quality and safety of American consumer goods to the member enterprises of CCCME.
