To keep pace with the increasing demands of transmission capacity and rising system voltage, NR has pursued advanced research on electronic CTVT and optical CT to ensure maximum reliability, and availability in the applications of metering and protection relays. ECTs/EVTs have advantages of none magnetic saturation, none ferromagnetic resonance, large dynamic measuring scope, wide frequency band and compact structure. NR’s electronic CTs/VTs are suitable for both gas-insulated switch-gears air-insulated switch-gears and have been proven in the laboratory and are successfully put in-service in real substation applications worldwide.

lectronic CT/VT in GIS Application

The electronic CT/VT for GIS applications can be applied to 110kV (220kV, 330kV or 500kV) gas insulation switch(GIS) for measuring primary current and voltage. The output signal will be sent to digitizing measuring devices, bay control units and protective relays. It can be installed both indoor and outdoor.

ECT in AIS Application

Electronic CTs/VTs in AIS application can be applied to 110kV (220kV, 330kV or 500kV) substations for primary current and voltage measurement. The output signals are sent to digital measurement devices, bay control units and protective relays. It can be installed both indoor and outdoor.

Electronic CT/VT Group in AIS Application

Electronic CT/VT groups are integrations of ECTs and EVTs which are used in AIS application.

DC Electronic CT

DC electronic CTs are intended for applications in HVDC converter station. It measures DC current and harmonic current, and output digital signals to protection and control devices in converter station.

Medium and Low Voltage Electronic CT/VT

Medium and low voltage electronic CTs/VTs are installed in 10kV-35kV switchgear cabinets or outdoor to measure primary current and voltage. The output signals are delivered to digital measurement devices, bay control units and protective relays. It is composed of low power CTs (LPCTs), transport modules and remote onsite acquisition units etc.
