Qingdao Shipyard Co., Ltd., the former State-owned Qingdao Shipyard, was founded in 1949, and has a wholly-owned subsidiary Qingdao Yangfan Shipbuilding Co., Ltd.
Qingdao Shipyard Co., Ltd. has completed nearly 600 vessels including large bulk carriers represented by 205,000 DWT bulk carrier, offshore supply vessels, public vessels and specially-functional ships, with ship owners from a large number of countries and areas including Switzerland, Japan, Brazil, Singapore, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
We have nearly 1,100 employees, including nearly 400 technological and managerial staff, as well as more than 2,000 subcontract workers. Covering an area of 790,000©O£¬our company is equipped with one large-capacity dry dock, one less-larger-capacity dry dock and outfitting quay of 1,100m, with annual steel processing capacity 200,000t and annual shipbuilding capacity 1.5 million DWT.
We have held a large number of certificates including ISO9001-2008 and OHSAS18001. As a national hi-tech corporation and a technological center of Shandong province, Qingdao Shipyard Co., Ltd. has formed a complete R&D system by introduction of world-advanced ship design software, and through cooperation in design with leading institutes and universities nationwide.
