Integrated Secondary System

Integrated Secondary Systems consist of a full spectrum of hardware and software solutions for power system protection, automation and management. It covers electronic/optical measurement transformers, merging units, Intelligent Electronic Devices (IED) including Protection and Control of Power Transmission, Distribution and Generation, Substation Automation Systems (SAS) including Bay Control Unit, Data Communication Unit, Fault Recorder, PMU, Protocol Converter, Gateway, and Gigabit Switch etc., and Energy/Distribution Management Systems (EMS/DMS). The digitalized data communication is fully compatible with IEC 61850/61970, IEEE C37.118, DNP 3.0 and IEEE 1588 for unmatched openness, stringent security, high configurability and easy maintainability.

Power Electronics Solutions

NR's power electronics-based equipment provides proven and cost-effective solutions to achieve a Flexible AC Transmission System (FACTS). Our unique line-up of state-of-the-art solutions includeStatic Var Compensator (SVC), Static Synchronous Compensator (STATCOM), Fixed Series Capacitors (FSC), StaticFrequency Converter (SFC), and Invertors and Converter for renewable interconnection of wind, solar and storage. NR'spower electronics solutions increase capacity, enhance flexibility, improve reliability and quality of the smart grid.

Flexible HVDC Solutions

LCC-HVDC and VSC-HVDC (Voltage Source Converter based HVDC) are highly efficient alternatives for bulk power transmission and special applications. NR Electric provides the control and protection for LCC-HVDC systems, a complete set of VSC Valve and all other equipment for VSC-HVDC solutions, and direct current electronic measurement transformers (ECT, EVT). Built upon years of experiences with voltage level up to +/- 800kV and the thyristor and IGBT control technology, NR's LCC-HVDC and VSC-HVDC solutions are reliable, economical andfield-proven.
