Molded Case Circuit Breaker

Molded Case Circuit Breaker is also called device circuit breaker. All parts are sealed in the plastic case, and the auxiliary contacts, undervoltage tripping device and shunt tripping device are mostly modularized. Because the structure is very compact, the Molded Case Circuit Breaker can hardly be overhauled. Most of them adopt manual operation, and electric switch can be selected for large capacity. Due to the application of electronic overcurrent tripping device, Molded Case Circuit Breaker can also be divided into Class A and Class B. Class B has good three-stage protection characteristics, but due to price factors, the market share of Class A products adopting thermo-magnetic tripping device is higher. The Molded Case Circuit Breaker is to install the contact, arc extinguishing chamber, tripping device and operating mechanism in a plastic shell, which generally does not consider maintenance and is suitable for the protection switch of the branch, there are two kinds of overcurrent tripping devices: thermo-magnetic type and electronic type. General thermo-magnetic Molded Case Circuit breakers are non-selective circuit breakers. There are only two protection modes: overload long delay and short circuit instantaneous. Electronic Molded Case Circuit Breakers have overload long delay, short circuit short delay, short circuit instantaneous and ground fault four protection functions. Some new products of electronic Molded Case Circuit Breakers also have regional selective chain function. Most Molded Case Circuit breakers are operated manually, and some of them are equipped with motor operating mechanism.
