厄瓜多尔技术法规规定了三轮机动车在销售国产和进口产品之前必须满足的乘客和货物运输要求，目的是保护人类安全和环境，防止欺诈行为。适用于：在厄瓜多尔组装、制造和销售并进口到厄瓜多尔的载客和货物运输用代码为TRC2（见注1）的第15子类三轮机动车。
覆盖的产品：气缸容量不超过1000 cc（HS 870321）；气缸容量不超过1500 cc（HS 870331）；总重量不超过5吨（HS 870421）；总重量不超过5吨（HS 870431）；气缸容量不超过50 cc的往复式内燃机（HS 871110）；气缸容量超过50 cc但不超过250 cc的往复式内燃机（HS 871120）；气缸容量超过250 cc但不超过500 cc的往复式内燃机（HS 871130）；气缸容量超过500 cc但不超过800 cc的往复式内燃机（HS 871140）；气缸容量超过800 cc的往复式内燃机（HS 871150）机动车辆。

The notified Ecuadorian Technical Regulation establishes the requirements to be met by three-wheeled motor vehicles for the transport of passengers and goods, prior to the marketing of domestic and imported products, with the aim of protecting human safety and the environment, and preventing deceptive practices.
It applies to: Three-wheeled motor vehicles of subcategory L5, Code TRC2 (see note 1) for the transport of passengers and goods, which are assembled, manufactured and marketed in, and imported into, Ecuador.
