厄瓜多尔技术法规规定了在销售国产和进口产品之前，微波炉应满足的要求，目的是保护人类安全和健康以及环境，防止欺骗行为。
适用于以下产品：
额定电压不超过250伏交流电的微波炉。
本技术法规不适用于：
•商用微波炉（符合技术标准IEC 60335-2-90）；
•工业微波加热设备（符合技术标准IEC 60519-6）；
•医疗设备（符合技术标准IEC 60601）；
•拟在特殊条件下使用的设备，如存在腐蚀性或爆炸性环境（灰尘、蒸汽或气体）的地方；
•实验室用于加热食品和饮料的器具。

The notified Ecuadorian Technical Regulation establishes the requirements to be met by microwave ovens, prior to the marketing of domestic and imported products, with the aim of protecting human safety and health, and the environment, and preventing deceptive practices.
It applies to the following products:
Microwave ovens with a rated voltage not exceeding 250 V AC.
The Technical Regulation does not apply to:
• Commercial microwave ovens (compliant with technical standard IEC 60335-2-90);
• Industrial microwave heating equipment (compliant with technical standard IEC 60519-6);
• Medical equipment (compliant with technical standard IEC 60601);
• Equipment intended for use in places where special conditions prevail, such as where there is a corrosive or explosive atmosphere (dust, vapour or gas);
• Appliances used to heat food and beverages in laboratories.
